Micah

The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

During the reign of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, God spoke to Micah from Morasthite. He gave him a vision about Samaria and Jerusalem.

Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

Then, those claiming to see the future will feel shame, and those predicting events will be baffled. Indeed, they will all fall silent, for they have no real message from God.

Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD’s controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.

Listen closely, mighty mountains and solid earth, for God has a disagreement with His people. He will reason with Israel.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

God has shown you, my friend, what is truly good. All He asks of you is to act fairly, show kindness, and walk modestly with Him.
