A verse a day
Verses we've shared
Each day we choose one verse for the day it falls on, paint it, and share it with its plain-language reading on Threads, Instagram and Facebook. They all gather here, newest first.
1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Look at the incredible love God has showered upon us, making us His children! But the world doesn't recognize us as such, because it didn't understand Him.
Revelation 7:9
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Then I saw it - an uncountable crowd from every corner of the world, standing before the throne and the Lamb. They were dressed in white, holding palm branches, a sight that took my breath away.
Hebrews 12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Surrounded by such a vast crowd of witnesses, let's free ourselves from any burden or sin that holds us back. Let's run the race of life with endurance and patience, keeping our eyes on the goal ahead.
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Haven't I told you? Be brave and confident; don't let fear or worry consume you. Remember, wherever you go, God is always with you.
Genesis 2:3
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
God cherished the seventh day, setting it apart as special, for it was the day He rested after crafting the beautiful universe.
