From Philemon

Philemon 1:1

Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

Paul, bound by his love for Jesus, and Timothy, our spiritual sibling, send heartfelt greetings to Philemon, our cherished friend and partner in faith.

Philemon 1:9

Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Out of love, I, Paul, an old man and now also a servant of Jesus Christ, humbly ask you.

Philemon 1:15

For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

Maybe he left for a while, so you could welcome him back forever.

Philemon 1:17

If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

If you consider me a friend, then welcome him as you would me.
