Colossians
Read Colossians in the King James Version, with a plain-language reading beneath every verse. Here are a few to start with.
From Colossians
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
Paul, chosen by God to spread Jesus Christ's teachings, and our brother Timotheus,
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
In whom lies the hidden wealth of wisdom and understanding.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
As God's chosen and loved ones, embrace compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Whatever actions or words you choose, do them with Jesus in your heart, always expressing gratitude to God through Him.
