Ezra

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

In the initial year of Cyrus, the Persian king, God's prophecy through Jeremiah was to be realized. God inspired Cyrus, leading him to announce and document a decree across his entire realm.

The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two.

The descendants of Delaiah, Tobiah, and Nekoda numbered 652, each with their own unique stories and lives.

Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:

Tatnai, governor across the river, Shetharboznai, and your allies, the Apharsachites, who also live across the river, please keep your distance.

I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;

With a heavy heart, I handed over to them a massive fortune of silver, amounting to six hundred and fifty talents. I also gave them a hundred talents each of silver and gold vessels, a wealth beyond measure.
