Daniel

In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.

In Jehoiakim's third year as king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar, the powerful king of Babylon, arrived in Jerusalem, bringing with him a tense atmosphere of siege.

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

Indeed, the God we faithfully serve has the power to rescue us from the blazing flames. And rest assured, O king, He will free us from your grip.

The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth;

The tree you saw, growing tall and strong, reaching the sky and visible to the entire world.

And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

When I, Daniel, had a vision and yearily sought its meaning, suddenly, a figure resembling a man appeared before me.
