Galatians 6, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Friends, if someone is caught in a sin, those of you who are spiritual should gently help them back onto the right path. Remember, you too could be tempted to stray.
Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Help each other through tough times, and in doing so, you're truly living Christ's teachings.
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
If a person believes they're important when they're not, they're only fooling themselves.
But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
Let each person examine their own actions; then they can find true joy in what they have done themselves, without comparing themselves to others.
For every man shall bear his own burden.
Each person must carry their own load.
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
If you've been taught God's word, share all the good things you have with the one who teaches you.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Don't be fooled; you can't trick God. Whatever actions you choose, expect to face the consequences.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
If you indulge your earthly desires, you'll harvest decay; but if you live to please the Spirit, from the Spirit you'll reap eternal life.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Don't lose heart in doing good; for when the time is right, we'll see the fruits of our efforts, if we just keep going.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Whenever we get a chance, let's show kindness to everyone, particularly those who share our faith.
Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.
Look at the lengthy letter I've personally written for you, filled with my emotions and thoughts.
As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
Those who crave worldly approval press you to be circumcised, simply to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
Even those who are circumcised don't fully follow the law; they only want you to be circumcised so they can boast about your physical commitment.
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
God forbid that I take pride in anything, except for the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through His cross, the world's allure is dead to me, and I am dead to its temptations.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
In Jesus Christ, it doesn't matter if you're circumcised or not. What truly counts is being made a new creation.
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Those who follow this path will be blessed with peace and mercy, including God's chosen people, Israel.
From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
From now on, let no one disturb me, for I carry on my body the scars of my devotion to the Lord Jesus.
Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
My dear friends, may the loving kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ touch your soul. So be it.
