Job

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

In the land of Uz lived a man named Job. He was a model of perfection and integrity, a man who revered God and consciously avoided all evil.

Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?

Isn't it clear to everyone that all this is God's doing?

Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

Those who were prematurely taken away, their very roots washed away by a devastating flood.

Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

Indeed, his spirit is on the brink of death, and his life is close to its end.
