Ephesians 3, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
Because of this, I, Paul, a prisoner for the sake of Jesus Christ, all for you, the non-Jews,
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
If you've heard about the generous gift of God's grace that He has bestowed upon me for your sake:
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Through divine insight, He revealed to me the secret, which I've previously mentioned briefly.
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
When you read this, you may grasp my deep understanding of the enigma that is Christ.
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
In the past, this truth was hidden from people. But now, through the Spirit, it's been unveiled to His devoted apostles and prophets.
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
The Gentiles too, should be considered equal inheritors, members of the same spiritual family, and sharers of God's promise through Christ's teachings.
Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
I became a servant through God's gracious gift, empowered by His mighty strength.
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Despite feeling unworthy and insignificant among all the believers, I've been blessed with the incredible opportunity to share the boundless love and wealth of Christ with those who don't yet know Him.
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
To help everyone understand the deep bond of this secret, hidden since the dawn of time in God, who created everything through Jesus Christ.
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
So that now, the church can reveal to the spiritual authorities in heaven, the diverse wisdom of God.
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
In line with the timeless plan that God designed through our Lord Jesus Christ:
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
In Him, through faith in Him, we find the courage and assurance to come before God.
Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
I urge you, don't lose heart because of the struggles I face for you; they are, in fact, your honor.
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
With deep reverence, I kneel before the Father of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Every family, both in heaven and on earth, carries His divine name.
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
May you be blessed with the abundant wealth of His glory, and find strength and power within your soul through His Spirit.
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May your faith invite Christ into your hearts; let love be your foundation, deeply rooted and unshakeable.
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
May all believers grasp the vastness, the enormity, the profoundness, and the pinnacle of God's love.
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Experience the profound love of Christ, beyond human understanding, so you may be completely filled with God's divine presence.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
To the one who can achieve far more than we could ever dream or request, through the strength that stirs within us.
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
May he be forever honored and adored in the church, through Christ Jesus, across all generations and for eternity. So be it.
