Joshua 12, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
These are the kings whose lands were conquered by the children of Israel. They claimed the territories east of the Jordan, toward the sunrise, from the Arnon River to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern plains.
Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
Sihon, the powerful king of the Amorites, lived in Heshbon. His reign stretched from Aroer, located on the banks of the Arnon River, through the heart of the river, and half of Gilead, all the way to the Jabbok River, marking the boundary of the Ammonite territory.
And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:
From the flatlands to the eastern sea of Chinneroth, and to the sea of the plains, the salty eastern sea, the path leads to Bethjeshimoth. From the south, it lies beneath Ashdothpisgah.
And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
Then there was the territory of Og, king of Bashan, one of the last of the giants, who lived in Ashtaroth and Edrei.
And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.
He ruled over Mount Hermon, Salcah, and all of Bashan, reaching to the edges of Geshur and Maachah lands, and half of Gilead, which marked the boundary of King Sihon of Heshbon.
Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.
Moses, God's faithful servant, and the Israelites defeated their enemies. Then, Moses gifted the conquered lands to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh.
And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;
These are the kings of the land that Joshua and the Israelites struck down west of the Jordan, from Baalgad in the Lebanon valley to Mount Halak leading to Seir. Joshua divided their lands among the tribes of Israel as their inheritance.
In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:
In the towering peaks and deep valleys, across the vast plains and by the bubbling springs, even in the barren wilderness and the sun-drenched south; there dwelt diverse tribes - the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
