2 Corinthians

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

Paul, chosen by God to spread Jesus' teachings, and Timothy, our spiritual sibling, send their heartfelt greetings to the faithful community in Corinth and all the devoted followers throughout Achaia.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

The Lord embodies the Spirit, and wherever His Spirit resides, freedom flourishes.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

We strive tirelessly, so that no matter where we are, we may find favor in His eyes.

Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

I, Paul, humbly urge you, with the kindness and gentleness of Christ. I may seem insignificant when I'm with you, but when I'm away, I'm courageous towards you.
