From John

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

From the start, the Divine Message existed. This Message was not separate from God, but was indeed the very essence of God.

John 7:10

But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

After his brothers had left, he too went to the festival, not publicly, but quietly, almost as if he were hiding.

John 13:1

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

As the Passover feast approached, Jesus felt the weight of his impending departure from this world to join his Father. His heart overflowed with love for his followers, a love that would endure till the end.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus told him, "I am the path, the reality, and the essence of life. No one can reach the Father except through me."
