Revelation 22, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
He revealed to me a pristine river, the essence of life itself, as clear as a flawless crystal, flowing directly from God and the Lamb's throne.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
At the heart of the city, flanked by a river, stood the tree of life. It bore twelve kinds of fruits, offering a new bounty each month. Its leaves held the power to heal all nations.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
The curse will be lifted forever. God's throne, shared with the Lamb, will be present. His faithful followers will joyfully serve Him.
And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
In that place, darkness doesn't exist. No need for candles or sunlight, for God Himself illuminates everything. And they will rule, unendingly, forever.
And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
He assured me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires the holy prophets, has sent his angel to reveal to his followers the events that are soon to unfold."
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Look, I'm coming soon. Those who remember and follow the teachings of this sacred book are truly fortunate.
And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
I, John, saw and heard these things. When I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me.
Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
He told me, "Don't do that. I am a fellow servant with you, with your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!"
And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
He told me, "Don't hide the messages of this book's prophecy; the time is almost here."
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Let the wrongdoer continue on their path, and the unclean remain so. Let the virtuous persist in their righteousness, and the sacred stay pure.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Look, I'm coming soon, bringing the rewards of your actions with me.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
I am the first breath and the final sigh, the dawn of creation and the twilight of existence.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Those who follow His teachings are truly fortunate, for they earn the privilege to access the tree of life and enter the city's gates.
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshippers, and everyone who loves and lives a lie.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
I, Jesus, have sent my messenger to share these truths with you for the churches. I am both the root and the descendant of David, and I am the radiant morning star.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
The Spirit and the bride eagerly invite, "Join us!" Those who hear this call should echo, "Join us!" Anyone who is thirsty, come! And anyone who desires, freely drink from the fountain of life.
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
I assure everyone who hears the prophecies in this book: if anyone dares to add anything, God will add to them the plagues described in this book.
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
If anyone dares to take away from the words of this sacred prophecy, God will take away their place in the book of life, in the holy city, and in all that's promised in this book.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
The one who promises these things declares, "Indeed, I will return soon." So be it. We eagerly await your return, Lord Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
May the loving kindness of our Savior, Jesus Christ, touch each and every one of you. So be it.
