Psalm 103, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
With all my heart and soul, I praise you, my Lord. Every part of me honors your sacred name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Cherish the Lord deeply, my soul, and always remember the blessings He has given you.
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
The one who pardons all your wrongs, the one who cures all your ailments.
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
The one who saves your life from ruin, who showers you with love and compassion, crowning you with kindness and mercy.
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
He fills your life with blessings, rejuvenating your spirit like a soaring eagle.
The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
The Lord passionately delivers justice and fairness for all who are unfairly treated.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
He revealed his plans to Moses, and showed his deeds to the people of Israel.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
God is full of compassion and kindness, patient and overflowing with love.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He won't always scold, nor will His anger last forever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
He hasn't treated us as our mistakes deserve; nor has He punished us as per our wrongdoings.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
Just as the sky towers over the earth, so does His immense kindness embrace those who respect Him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Just like the vast distance between sunrise and sunset, God has completely erased our mistakes from His memory.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
Just as a father shows compassion to his children, so does the LORD show compassion to those who respect Him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
He understands our human nature; He never forgets that we are merely mortal.
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
Just like grass, a person's life is fleeting; they bloom brightly like a field flower, then fade away.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
The wind sweeps over it, erasing its existence; its location forgets it ever existed.
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
God's love and kindness are eternal for those who respect Him, and His fairness extends to our grandchildren.
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
Those who honor His agreement and remember to follow His rules are blessed.
The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
God has set His majestic throne in the heavens; His reign extends over everything.
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Praise the Lord, you mighty angels of His, who are strong and obedient, listening attentively to His divine word.
Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
Praise the Lord, all His heavenly beings; you who serve Him and fulfill His desires.
Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
Praise the LORD, everything He has created, everywhere in His kingdom. Oh, my soul, deeply express your gratitude to the LORD.
