Psalm 93, verse by verse

Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.

1

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

The Lord rules, draped in grandeur and power, which He wears like a cloak. He has made the world so firm and unshakeable.

2

Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

Your reign has roots in ancient times; you've existed since forever.

3

The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.

Lord, the waters rise in powerful chorus, their waves roaring with immense strength.

4

The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

God's power, up in the heavens, surpasses the roar of vast oceans and the strength of towering waves.

5

Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.

Your teachings are utterly trustworthy. Your home, Lord, radiates with pure holiness, forever.
