Psalm 96, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Express your joy to the Lord with a fresh melody. Let every corner of the world sing praises to Him.
Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Express your joy to the Lord, honor His name; share His saving grace every single day.
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
Share his magnificent love with those who don't know him, marvel at his miracles with everyone.
For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
God is magnificent, deserving of immense praise. His power surpasses all, evoking awe and reverence.
For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
Every other god is just an illusion, only the LORD, the creator of the cosmos, is real.
Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
His presence radiates with awe-inspiring honor and majestic grandeur. His sanctuary is a testament to his powerful strength and breathtaking beauty.
Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
All families of the world, give God the credit: declare that glory and strength belong to Him.
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
Honor God with all your heart, offer your gifts with love, and step into His divine presence.
O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Adore the Lord in the pure splendor of sacredness: let the whole world stand in awe of Him.
Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Tell everyone, even those who don't believe, that God is in control. The world is secure under His rule and won't be shaken. He will judge all people with fairness and justice.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
Celebrate, heavens! Be joyful, earth! Let the sea shout out in all its vastness.
Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
Let the land burst with happiness, and everything within it. Then, all the trees in the forest will celebrate with joy.
Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
Before the Lord, for he is coming; he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with fairness and all people with his truth.
