Psalm 70, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.
Please hurry, God, to rescue me; swiftly lend me your aid, O Lord.
Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
May those who seek my life be put to shame and disgraced; may those who wish me harm be driven back and humiliated.
Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
May those who mock and shame others experience the same, feeling the sting of their own taunts.
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
May all who search for you find joy and happiness in your presence. And those who cherish your grace, let them always proclaim, "May God's greatness be amplified!"
But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.
I'm in desperate need, God, please come quickly to my aid. You are my savior, my only hope. Don't delay, Lord.
