Psalm 145, verse by verse
Each verse is given twice: first in the King James Version, then in the World Bible Guide plain reading.
I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
I will praise you deeply, my God, my King; and I will forever cherish your name.
Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Each day, I will bless and praise you; my praises for you will be endless, echoing into eternity.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
The LORD is truly magnificent, deserving of all our praises; His greatness is beyond our comprehension.
One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
One generation will passionately celebrate your deeds, passing on tales of your incredible power to the next.
I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
I will express the awe-inspiring glory of your majesty and marvel at your miraculous deeds.
And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
People will talk about your powerful deeds with awe, and I will shout about your immense greatness.
They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
They will passionately share the stories of your immense kindness, and joyfully celebrate your fairness.
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
God is kind and deeply caring, patient in anger, and abundant in mercy.
The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
God's kindness reaches everyone, and His gentle compassion touches everything He creates.
All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
Everything you've created will honor you, O LORD; and your faithful ones will express their gratitude towards you.
They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
They will passionately share the magnificence of your kingdom, and eagerly discuss your incredible strength.
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
To reveal to humanity His powerful deeds and the awe-inspiring beauty of His realm.
Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
Your reign is eternal, and your power spans across all generations.
The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
The Lord supports everyone who stumbles, and lifts up those burdened with sorrow.
The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
Everyone looks to you with hope; you provide their needs just when they need them.
Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
You generously open your hand, fulfilling the needs and desires of all life.
The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
In everything He does, God is just and pure, always acting with fairness and sanctity.
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
God is always close to those who genuinely reach out to him, offering their true selves.
He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Those who respect Him will have their wishes granted. He will listen to their pleas and rescue them.
The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
God cherishes and protects those who adore Him, but He will eradicate all evil-doers.
My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
I will joyfully sing of the Lord's greatness, and I urge everyone to forever honor His sacred name.
